Being a DJ is indeed a tough trade at times.
In this rap, I describe a few scenarios that most DJs can relate to (although most DJs do not rap anymore).

DJ - the one who spins you round and round
DJ - the one who plays the track
DJ - the one who gives you a rap attack

Doing DJ isn't always a whole lot of fun
cause sometimes you just want to pick your things up and run
There are always some people that wanna make you sad
they laugh and point their fingers if you do something bad
There are a lot of things that can go wrong
I'm gonna tell you bout them things in this here little song
so listen up everybody in the place tonight
You'd better be good to your DJs and treat 'em right

If you play the wrong record you will soon find out
what it sounds like when a pretty girl starts to shout
"come on mr DJ - stop playing that crap
And take a good advice and shape up your rap!
And if you make a live remix that sounds really well
there will be somebody anyway who says that you smell
Cause he just couldn't take that the song had changed
and I'd better just stop or get my nose rearranged
Now three and a half minutes might seem a long time
But looking for a track isn't flippin' a dime
It takes skill to know what makes people go
are you starting building up going fast or slow?
Sometimes you get lost in your exploration
Time flies by and there's no automation
Suddenly you realize that the time is up
and before you know it all the sound will just stop!

Shit! I'll just spin this again

Now someone has been nagging about a song all night
And against better judgment, you say - well all right
Now you stand there looking sad with an empty floor
And she says play it again cause I was out the door

Then a guy comes up shouting - give me a beer!
You say - I'm the DJ and the bar is over there
He looks you up and down saying - I don't care!
Give it to me now or you'd better be 'ware!
