Shane Dangers hey this album is super-duper retrotastic keytar + synthesizer madness!! so much fun, rip roaring good time, hi-nrg dance is club ready, insane sequences point to time + devotion + ❤love went into these songs of pure 1980s synthtastic glory!! definitely falls into the shredwave category, but not so dark + cyberpunk wasteland darksynth that we have LOTS of. Damokles has been around alot longer than the average synthwave producer and IT SHOWS 5️⃣⭐💥❤🔥💎💯🤟🪐🎹🎸🎛🔊 Favorite track: Nowhere to Go.

Open Up! 05:24
You look around - People everywhere taking selfies They've got it down - They all seem to fit right in But in the end - It's all just an act they put on. By pressing send - to show people where they've been. Open up! Don't see life passing through components Open up! Just wake up and put down that phone! Open up! Life is now and your waisting moments Open up! Just let it in and get in the zone! Every day - You run around tryin' hard to fit in Any way - you can but that's never ending well. Never pay - attention to what is not important Hear me say - It time to get going IRL Your social net - is mostly a set of numbers And I can bet - That you're feeling all alone. There's nothing yet - that beats living in the moment Get off the set - or you will become a drone! Every day - You run around tryin' hard to fit in Any way - you can but that's never ending well. Never pay - attention to what is not important Hear me say - It time to get going IRL Look at me - I am so important Oh can you see - what I ate today? Light is key when I take photo of stuff I'm placing around my tray Gather people and take a selfie to tell the world that I'm still at play I hope you like what I fake in pixels Every day - You run around tryin' hard to fit in Any way - you can but that's never ending well. Never pay - attention to what is not important Hear me say - It time to get going IRL but Every day - You run around tryin' hard to fit in Any way - you can but that's never ending well. Never pay - attention to what is not important Hear me say - It time to get going IRL

A dark and lonely highway and you are driving home It's night on early Tuesday You have been working late You listen to the song play that's on the radio You're checkin' on the display To see the name come up And suddenly there is a blinding light Your car stops and you're in a state of fright! What do you see? - A Close Encounter What can it be? - A Close Encounter Got to break free - A Close Encounter Try to fight it! What do you see? - A Close Encounter What can it be? - A Close Encounter Got to break free - A Close Encounter Try to fight the grey! Your memories are fragments of creatures standing 'round You feel a big detachment Like someone else was there and hope they're only figments Of your imagination then you're in the moment and it's too much to bear cause Suddenly there was this blinding light Your car stopped and you could not even fight! What do you see? - A Close Encounter What can it be? - A Close Encounter Got to break free - A Close Encounter Try to fight it! What do you see? - A Close Encounter What can it be? - A Close Encounter Got to break free - A Close Encounter Try to fight the grey! Claims of alien abduction came to international prominence in the 1950s and 1960s, but some researchers argue abduction narratives can be traced to decades earlier. Such abduction stories have been studied by investigators who believe the accounts describe actual, literal interaction with non-human or extraterrestrial entities. Everytime that you hurt yourself I can feel the pain in my body I just want to protect you but I must let wander astray That's the thing with experience you can never learn from another You must first feel the pain and then y ou can manage all by yourself - one day But it hurts so bad - to see you crying - so I can Hardly stop my self - when you fall again - but If you should fall I will not try to catch you But you know that I'll always help you up Once and for all I have learned how to get through All the things that puts you in danger. All the time that has passed when I was protecting you from my worries Now I realize that I was holding you back from living your life - sorry But it hurts so bad - to see you crying - so I can Hardly stop my self - when you fall again. If you should fall I will not try to catch you But you know that I'll always help you up Once and for all I have learned how to get through All the things that puts you in danger. I hope that your life will be full of wonders And maybe some day you will understand That even if I made a lot of blunders I did it because of my love. For you

Beach Party! 05:20
I'm strawling down on the boardwalk Feelin summer breeze in my hair Meeting people makin' some small talk There's something floating in the air Oh it's been a while since everyone got together having some fun Such a perfect evening it cannot go to waste! It's time to gather all to get us another taste! Come on all And let's get it started! It's party time Yes it's time to party Oh yes it's partytime as far as I can see It's party time Yes it's time to party Comon It's party time Let's have a beach party! I call the people there in my phonebook They call some funky friends of their own. It doesn't take so long to them hooked And get some sound and microphone. Oh it's been a while since everyone Got together having some fun Such a perfect evening it cannot go to waste! Its time to gather all to get us another taste! It's party time Yes it's time to party Oh yes it's partytime as far as I can see It's party time Yes it's time to party Comon It's party time Let's have a beach party! The DJ's here and the beat is pumpin'! We' got lot's of beer and the feet are stompin' Everybody on the beach put your hands up Now move your feet and you don't stop Got to party hard goin all night long When you feel this good it just can't go wrong Now everyone on the sand just shake and let me hear you say oh yeah! Say ho! Now somebody scream!

about

As many of you already know I span a rather wide area of sub genres of the 80s. I try not to get stuck in any of them but lately I seem to have been gravitating towards the DNA of early house. I am ambivalent about having piano as part of my synth music but then again, many did. Especially in house music.

The electro part of me has also made itself known on this album. All scratching is of course made "by hand".

In some tracks you will get a taste of the synthpop that is a big part of my musical heritage.

Three tracks on this album that have already been up on SoundCloud for sometime but were never properly released. They have grown on me and so I spent time with them to make them part of this release.

The last track is a ballad. In my opinion we need to get more ballads made in the scene. Remember that the 80s saw the birth of many of the best ballads the world has ever heard. Back then dancing tight on the floor was one on the main reasons for going clubbing.

I hope you will enjoy this album. There will be more to come!
